Speaker Series - Capture True Beauty
Ellie Bianca is focusing on the importance of LOVING YOURSELF this month and invites you for our next in-store event. One of the three pillars Ellie Bianca is built upon, Kind to Women is the theme for our Capture True Beauty Event.
Join us for our Speaker Series with special guests Katherine Calnan and Simon Calnan talking about the importance of self love. Katherine and Simon work together at Katherine Calnan Photography and help young girls in the fashion industry grow up feeling worthy and secure in themselves. Confident and empowered women perform better in front of the camera and this applies beyond the professional life. Various topics will be discussed during the evening and a guided group excersice to wrap up the event with positive energy!

Speaker Bios:
KATHERINE CALNAN
Katherine is a published fashion photographer and an Accredited Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
Specializing in fashion, commercial, portrait photography and based in Calgary, Alberta. She regularly works with some of largest model agencies in Canada and also agencies in America.
She has both a Business and an Economics degrees from the University of Calgary.
She spent a large part of her life in advanced competitive figure skating, ballet and dance. Katherine is also a black belt in Shotokan with further training in Ninjutsu and close quarter combat.
SIMON CALNAN
Simon is part owner of Katherine Calnan Photography and is involved with creative projects, design, film and product photography for the company.
He also runs and speaks at workshops focusing on healing, self-worth, self-love, and meditation.
Simon has spent most of his life in premier tier amateur competition and professional extreme sports that allowed him to travel the world following his passions. This lead to a career in coaching and teaching.
Simon then experienced a fall down some stairs which resulted in a serious back injury and uncovering brain trauma.
After much research and speaking to many of the top mainstream and alternative experts in their fields he was able to heal himself using combinations of meditation, brain training, yoga, diet and what he calls applied frequency visualization techniques.
